Professor Wynshaw-Boris is Professor and Chair, Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences, School of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, Division Chief, Genetics of University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, and Chairman, Department of Genetics of University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He focuses on understanding genetic and biochemical pathways important for the development and function of the mammalian central nervous system, primarily using mouse models and more recently induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) of human and mammalian diseases to define pathways disrupted in these diseases. Professor Wynshaw-Boris is the Past President of American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG).
