ISRG is pleased to announce to initiate a formal affiliation between the International Society of Reproductive Genetics (ISRG) and Springer Nature’s Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics (JARG), a leading journal in its field with global distribution and impact, for a 5-year term beginning January 1, 2025.

ISRG has bing committed to establish a broad platform for international communication and cooperation to promote the development of scientific research and clinical practice in the field of reproductive genetics and facilitate the access to the latest scientific knowledge and state-of-the-art technologies.

As a cornerstone in scholarly publishing, Springer Nature has long been dedicated to advancing the dissemination of high-quality research and have consistently strived to provide a platform where innovative discoveries and insights can reach a global audience, shaping the future of healthcare.

In our partnership, ISRG will work together with Springer Nature to promote the development of scientific research and clinical practice in the field of reproductive genetics. Springer Nature will support ISRG in its mission to facilitate the access to the latest scientific knowledge and state-of-the-art technologies. Springer Nature will offer ISRG several solutioto to attract new members and promote the society’s annual meeting as part of our partnership as detailed in our plan below.

ESTABLISHING ISRG MEMBER ACCESS

In addition to the planned ISRG promotional support detailed throughout this collaboration, Springer Nature will establish full electronic access to JARG for the ISRG members at a special discounted rate of $10 USD per individual member, allowing all ISRG members to read, cite, and share JARG’s high quality articles—from the latest research published today, dating back to its first volume in March 1984.

ISRG members will then receive unique online access codes to view JARG content. Generated by Springer Nature, these access codes will be based on the total number of paid members on the provided list.

Each paid member will receive their own unique access code and once this code has been activated on SpringerLink, the member will have full access to JARG for one year (as such, new access codes will need to be generated each year).

On top of the base electronic access rate of $10 USD per individual ISRG member, Springer Nature will also make available for interested ISRG members the discounted rate of $40 USD per individual ISRG member for a print subscription opt-in.

OFFICIAL JOURNAL OF THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF REPRODUCTIVE GENETICS

To underscore our commitment to this partnership with ISRG, the Journal will be designated throughout the term of our agreement as “The Official Journal of the International Society of Reproductive Genetics.” To communicate this to the widest audience possible, not only will the JARG journal cover be updated to reflect the new affiliation, but Springer Nature will also acknowledge the new designation in all its major promotional activities for the Journal such as, but not limited to, electronic table of content (e-TOC) alerts delivered to JARG readers around the globe. ISRG will be highlighted on the official JARG website, which has already received over 417,000 downloads to its content in the first six months of 2024 alone, on track to surpass its 2023 total of 678,040. To best demonstrate the global reach of the Journal, as well as the opportunity for increased international exposure for ISRG, the below table details the annually increasing traffic from PubMed—one of the most important global indexing services for biomedical and life sciences literature—to the JARG website since 2021:

To effectively promote the ISRG to the global audience of JARG, Springer Nature also offers the following online promotional action items:

Prominently host the ISRG society logo on JARG website masthead, with included hyperlink to redirect online users to official ISRG designated website - Highlight ISRG news and announcements, such as the ISRG annual meeting, in the “Journal Updates” section of the JARG website Furthermore, we will also provide ISRG with one (1) advertisement page for each print issue of the Journal per volume year (12 issues), facilitating another avenue for ISRG to promote its offerings and grow its membership.

ANNUAL MEETING ABSTRACT SUPPLEMENT PUBLICATION

As part of our affiliation agreement with ISRG, each year, Springer Nature will publish an annual meeting abstract supplement to ISRG. The supplement may contain up to 100 pages, will be in electronic format only, and may consist of meeting information as well as the original & curated abstracts of scientific material presented at the annual ISRG meeting.

As with all supplements published in Springer Nature Journals and in line with our commitment to research integrity, the annual ISRG abstract supplement will be subject to approval of the current Editor-in-Chief of JARG or an authorized member of the Journal’s Editorial Board.

Through the annual abstract supplement publication in JARG, ISRG will be able to better promote the development in reproductive genetic research and better facilitate access to the latest scientific advancements to not only its members but also to a global audience.

ADDITIONAL ANNUAL MEETING SUPPORT

Alongside the free online publication of the ISRG annual abstract supplement, Springer Nature will also provide ISRG with support in promoting and enhancing its annual meeting:

• Springer Nature will provide JARG journal copies and/or promotional flyers to be displayed at a booth / table space located in the exhibit hall at the annual ISRG;
• In addition to JARG materials, Springer Nature will recommend additional publications from their Books and Journals portfolios relating to genetic reproductive medicine to be included at the exhibit booth table for display purposes, subject to ISRG final approval;
• Springer Nature will also provide presentation materials for an on-site Author Workshop to be hosted during the annual meeting with the goal to increase quality submissions from meeting attendees / ISRG members to JARG.
